Our Constitutional Rights and Amendments were designed to prevent the government from controlling and encroaching on our freedoms and liberties. When the governor stated that churches were not essential, he violated the First Amendment. When the governor stated that his ABC stores, Walmart and LOWES were essential but other businesses were not, he violated the First Amendment. Our ability to practice our faith should never be infringed upon. If big box stores and liquor stores can be opened, our churches and other businesses can be open. Each church and business should be allowed to make their own decisions without the government stripping Virginians First Amendment Rights along with others. No man is too great to tell women and men when to pray or where to worship. ‘We The People’ of Virginia should hold strong to our morals, values and should be allowed to practice our faiths unimpeded by any government.
